Benedictine Launches New Writing Center

The Benedictine High School Writing Center is officially open for business! The lab is wireless featuring 18 Dell laptops and a small conferencing area for students to brainstorm. It is stocked with an assortment of hardbound and print resources to help students with their writing projects.  English teacher Ryan Ryzner ’95 coordinates the writing center with the assistance of Mrs. Mia Mahoney, our reading tutor.

Thanks to Principal Sal Miroglotta for his vision in bringing the first-class writing center to Benedictine. Also, thanks to Computer teacher Mr. Richard Salem ’90 for installing the equipment in the center.  Finally, a special thanks to the Boosters for their generous funding, which helped us to complete the project.

The center is located in Room 118, next to the Bookstore so if you happen to be in the building purchasing tickets or spiritwear, please stop in and see our “Men of Benedictine” hard at work!
